Sonya Jacobs is a nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist by ASHA
(American Speech-Language-Hearing Association). She is licensed to practice
speech-language pathology by the State of Washington. She is also trained
and certified by the Institute of Language and Phonology to conduct foreign
accent modification classes, using the Compton Pronouncing English as a
Second Language (P-ESL) program.
The following services are available:
• Voice Therapy, upon the referral of an
Otolaryngologist (ENT)
• Music lessons for children with speech-language
delays/disorders
• Foreign Accent Improvement tutoring or small classes
(P-ESL)

The P-ESL course is an individualized learning program based
on a phonetic analysis of your tape-recorded speech. It includes specific
exercises provided in a CD-ROM or cassette tape format. At least a 50%
improvement in your pronunciation of English is expected! 7 or 13 week
